Ditiropele Development & Maintenance Services ("Ditiropele", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through ditiropele.com, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have — in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Ditiropele is a 100% Black woman-owned engineering company established in 2003, providing solar PV, energy and industrial engineering services across South Africa. For any privacy matter, you can reach our Information Officer using the contact details at the end of this policy.

02Information we collect

Information you give us. When you complete the "Get a quote" contact form, you provide your name, email address, phone number, the type of service you are interested in, and any details you choose to include in your message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our host keeps standard server logs (such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages and times you visited) to keep the site secure and running. The website does not use third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies.

03How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes or site assessments.
• To deliver, support and maintain the services you request.
• To keep accurate business records and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
• To contact you about your enquiry or an active project.

We process this information on the basis of your consent (by submitting the form) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving our business. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing without your consent.

• Trusted engineers, subcontractors or suppliers who help us deliver a project you have requested, under a duty to protect your information;

The site uses only what is needed to function and to keep the contact form secure. It does not set marketing or analytics cookies by default. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

06How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to respond to you and to meet legitimate business, record-keeping and legal requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

07How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Please note that no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information at every step.

08Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
• Ask us to correct or update information that is wrong or out of date;
• Ask us to delete your information where we no longer need it;
• Object to processing, or withdraw a consent you previously gave.
